It all depends on the atmosphere you are interested in for any given night. Collared shirts and shoes aren't required many places - and frankly we never even pack them.
Casual St Thomas Restaurants and Bars:

- Fat Turtle (Yacht Haven)

- Hull Bay Hideaway (Hull Bay, North/East Side)
- Famous for Fish Tacos
- Tap & Still (Red Hook, East End)
- Purely for burgers - awesome burgers !!!
- Caribbean Saloon (Red Hook, East End)
- So many menu options at good prices
- Greengos Caribbean Cantina (Charlotte Amalia)
- Rave reviews by all who eat here, though we haven't yet
- Panga (on Point Pleasant Resort)
- Best place "on the water" with excellent food and tasty mixed drinks
- Molly Malone's (Red Hook, East End)
- Many choices but we go for the 1/2 Lobster here - which is gi-normous
- Sib's Mountain Top (North Side)
- Grouper bites are NOT on the menu. Order them but don't tell them we told you so.
- Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville (Water Bay, next to Point Pleasant Resort) - opening in 2015
Nice St Thomas Restaurants but Not Too Fancy:
- Havana Blue (by the beach at the Marriott)
- Anything and everything
- XO Bistro (Red Hook, East End)
- Tuna Shashimi and Scallops are amazing, plus steaks and wines.
- The Cellar (Red Hook, East End)
- Many good options, plus a nice selection of wines.
- Pesce (Red Hook, East End)
- Many good options, plus a nice selection of wines.
- Gran Cru (Yacht Haven)
- Anything but be sure to sit outside on the deck on the water.
Fancy to High End Restaurants in St Thomas:
- Oceana (Frenchtown, near Charlotte Amalia)
- Gets GREAT reviews, but while it is on the water with a nice breeze; it is expensive and we were honestly not impressed. Just our opinion, but you trust us to give you our honest opinions.
- Thirteen (North Side)
- Great reviews from friends, and you will definitely want to call a few days in advance to make a reservation.
- Old Stone Farm House (mid-island, North Side towards Magens)
- On our short list of places for a while, for great steak or seafood night. You get to walk through the kitchen and pick out your own steak. We will get there, just so many places to go.
